About DEMOLA-Budapest

DEMOLA-Budapest angol munkanyelvének célja az épülő nemzetközi DEMOLA^TM hálózatban való aktív részvétel elősegítése. A honlapon található információk többsége így angol nyelven jelenik meg.

DEMOLA-Budapest is an internationally recognized, BME-based open innovation environment, where multi-disciplinary student teams create new solutions to real problems. It is a platform where students, professionals of project partners and universities can collaborate and inspire each other. This platform connects fresh and creative students’ skills with identified needs and demands from the market, with the appropriate support from industry.

An opportunity for students to contribute real-life innovations with end-users.

An opportunity for organizations (companies, civil services) to run agile development projects exploring novel technology-enabled products and services.

We work on business concepts and innovative projects with local impact and global market potential in the areas of BME’s education and R&D activities, such as in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, architecture, chemical technology, biotechnology, electrical engineering, ICT, transportation, logistics, natural sciences, and economic and social sciences. DEMOLA-Budapest provides a special location (opening this autumn, check us out on Flickr), tools and an inspiring atmosphere, and the teams design the solutions collaboratively.

The IPR (immaterial) rights of the results belong to the university with the aim of common exploitation with the member of the teams. Project partners can buy or license the project results or become a shareholder in the start-up based on the IPR created in the project. Results will be transferred into real products and services to be part of the companies’ operations.
